URI and URL are two terms used on the internet.

URI means (Uniform Resource Identifier) and Url means (Uniform Resource Locator). Anything on the internet needs to identify uniquely. In general, it is called commonly URI.  It includes the terms URL, URN, and ISBN. These all have different meanings.

  • URLs used for the exact location of resources. for example http://www.example.com/index.html
  • URN means (Uniform Resource Name). for example URN:isbn:0-13-409341-3
  • ISBN means (International Standard Book Number). for example ISBN: ISBN-13: 978-0-13-409341-3
